What have i learned?
In my EDUC 1300 class I learned many things that I learned in high school. I learned many of the topics through the JROTC and AVID program. Some of the topics and strategies I learned, that were related to EDUC 1300 was cornell notes, SMART goals and O-net. Also, I learned that when people say that they are taking their "basics" at Northlake Community College, it can be different for each person. It all depends on what I decide to major in. What "basics" means is that a student is trying to complete their core classes which is a total of 42 hours. I can complete my core classes in 2 years (if I choose to) if I decide to take 15 credit hours per semester and classes during the summer. It is important to complete my 42 hours so that when I decide to transfer to a 4 year university it won't be too difficult to transfer all of my credits. However, it all depends on the university I try to transfer to, which in this case it is the University of Texas at Arlington.
Click on the imagie below to view my core requirements for my major (Aerospace Engineering) that I must complete to transfer all of my credits to the University of Texas at Arlington.
I have also learned the importance of attending my classes. If I miss one class I could miss a buch of important information. Missing one day can lead up to missing any equations, vocabulary and due dates that can effect how I complete my homework and my grades.
I learned the importance of making friends in class. If I make friends, pertaining to a certain class, I can compare my notes to another individual and see any information I missed during the lecture.
