There are many postive factors of being an autonomous learner. First off, what is an autonomous learner? An autonomous learner is an individual who is independent with their tasks and has the determination to reach their goals based on their interest. Also, an autonomous learner reflects on what ever task they complete to seek improvement. I am an authonomous learner. When going over what a autonomous learner is I realized that I fit in this category. When I am assigned to a task or assignment I find many ways to complete that task independently. If I ever need help with a task or assignment, I ask my friends who understand the topic or I go to a tutoring center on campus.
Like everyone, I have goals in life. My goals did change from time to time but that's because I wanted to do so many things during my years of adult hood. However, my dream is to enter the field of Aerospace Enginnering, to join the military and give back to those who have helped me reach my goals. For example, my family and friends who have helped me push through rough times so that I could be successful. I have a determined mind set. My goals are based off of my interest. I use to let people decide my fate for my future but not anymore.
Reflection. Some people should actually consider on reflecting on any situation, assignment or action that individual has done. Doing these things has helped me not make the same mistake twice. Reflecting can help an individual seek improvement. That is why in my english 1301 class I reflect on my essays when I receive my graded paper. It helps me see my errors and find ways to improve my writing. This helps me with all of my classes. For example, if I fail one assignment or exam it shows where I am weak and where I am strong. From those results I can see what subject area I must work on.
